At the heart of all AEP secure networking modules is the Advanced Configurable Crypto Environment. ACCE supports a range of key management and cipher options, with protected internal key store for up to 8,000 keys, backed by secure key export and transport options. A crucial element of the design and operation of AEP technology is that all key material is generated, stored and managed within ACCE. In addition, the software (firmware) that manages all the critical security functions is housed within the fully accredited ACCE tamper detection envelope - see Keyper Certification and Assurance and Net Certification and Assurance.
AEP Networks has the flexibility to customize ACCE with new technologies and software, which means that AEP products can be designed to meet specific market requirements. All AEP modules can be upgraded with new software and algorithms and configured remotely. Standard algorithms include AES, 3-DES, RSA, DSA, Diffie Hellman and SHA-1.
ACCE's low power and highly integrated design leads to increased reliability and savings in overall lifecycle costs.
