Hardware Security Modules (HSM), Public Key Infrastructure, Encryption and Cryptographic Key Management from AEP Networks

AEP Keyper allows the FIPS-certified Security Officer and authorized user to generate, store and use high quality keys within a tamper reactive, Ethernet-connected Hardware Security Module.

AEP Keyper is the most comprehensive cryptographic hardware security module (HSM) of its class for secure key management offering public key infrastructure (PKI) administrators the highest levels of assurance and performance. AEP Networks' revolutionary ACCE technology, at the heart of AEP Keyper, guarantees the safety and integrity of critical key material.

Assurance

AEP Keyper Enterprise is certified to FIPS 140-2 Level 4. The security target for the evaluation contains ALL the cryptographic functionality in the product when configured in FIPS mode. Level 4 is the highest accreditation available in the FIPS program requiring physical tamper protection (this is the same as implemented in AEP Net where the tamper protection is assured to protect highly classified data) and mathematical proofs of critical security functions.

Deployment and Use

The Keyper product has been in use in UK, Australia , US, European Government and other international projects since 2000, including National root authorities, Defense OSCP responder and validation authorities, Revenue and taxation systems, Treaty Monitoring programs and Space systems. AEP Networks provides Hardware Security Modules, HSM, Public Key Infrastructure, digital certificates, PKI, Encryption and Cryptographic Keys.

AEP Keyper is available in three modules:

•		Keyper Enterprise		FIPS 140-2 Level 4 certified Hardware Security Module that provides cryptographic and key management and storage services for security applications
•		Keyper Professional		Offers the same functionality as Keyper Enterprise. The only difference is that the product has a FIPS 140-1 Level 4 certificate (not 140-2), can store 1000 1024 bit private keys and process 150 1024 bit RSA signatures/ second
•		Keyper PCI		Keyper PCI has the same functionality and performance as Keyper Professional but presented on a PCI card. The product carries a FIPS 140-1 Level 3 certificate.
