The appliances will enable rapid deployment of secure mobile applications using Microsoft(R) Windows powered Pocket PC and Windows CE based devices, barcoders, and other RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) devices.

V-ONE's SmartGuard(TM) application layer SSL VPN appliances and intelligent clients allow mobile applications to communicate end-to-end with the full security of a NIST-certified FIPS 140 VPN, a requirement for DOD wireless communication applications. The Army Automatic Identification Technology (AIT) Office chose V-ONE products after extensive evaluation. AIT is responsible for acquiring technologies that enable mobile applications such as logistics and asset management for a variety of DOD programs.
