The appliances will provide application layer SSL VPN protection, enabling secure remote access for network administrators to reach all Network Operation Centers across the global DISA Information Systems Network.

As a combat support agency of the U.S. Department of Defense, DISA is responsible for planning, engineering, acquiring, fielding, and supporting global net-centric solutions. The designated core missions of DISA are communications, joint command and control, defensive information operations, combat support computing, and joint interoperability support.
