Cabinet Office Awards AEP Networks with Quality Mark for SSL VPN

LONDON, UK – 19 December 2006 – AEP Networks , the leader in policy-based networking, has received the Government quality mark award for its AEP Netilla Security Platform (NSP) SSL VPN.  The CSIA Claims Tested (CCT) Mark is a government quality mark initiative for information technology security products and services.

The NSP is an SSL VPN appliance that enables organisations to simply, securely, and cost effectively provide users with browser-based access to corporate applications and files from through the security and convenience of a web browser. With any browser enabled PC or laptop, telecommuters, branch office employees, business partners and a mobile sales force can quickly and securely reach virtually any resource used in the business.

All of the 28 claims (regarding encryption, authentication, endpoint security, single sign on, and more) were tested and validated for the AEP Netilla Security Platform.

Best, EVP/GM of AEP Networks ' Application Security Business. “The CSIA Claims Test Mark provides a level of confidence that the security functionality of products has been independently tested and validated and, as such, should offer assurance to other UK Public Sector agencies before investing in our product.”

AEP Networks was presented with CCT Mark certificates for the NSP at the 7 th Annual CIPCOG (Civil Information Assurance Products and Services Co-ordination Group) event which took place on the 30th November.
