SOMERSET, N.J. – Feb. 18, 2005 – AEP
Networks' Netilla Security Platform (NSP) has won the "Best VPN Solution" Reader Trust Award at the SC Magazine Awards ceremony held Feb. 16 at
the RSA Security Conference in San Francisco.
"We're gratified that SC Magazine's readers and judges selected our
Netilla Security Platform as ‘Best VPN Solution’ in a field that included
some worthy competitors," said Reggie Best, executive vice president
and general manager of AEP Networks' Secure Application Access Business
Unit. "This award formally recognizes what our customers and resellers
already know: that the NSP excels at providing secure remote access
to the broadest range of applications, combined with the most advanced
policy enforcement and authorization features."
“Our new SGA-M is designed to solve a growing challenge facing
CIOs: how to meet employee demands for Web-based access to their Outlook
email accounts while ensuring that their infrastructure remains secure,”
said Reggie Best, executive vice president and general manager of AEP’s
Secure Application Access Business Unit. “By broadening our successful
SGA lineup we extend our commitment to address specific high-growth
segments of the secure application access marketplace.”
The Netilla Security Platform is an ICSA-certified, enterprise-class
SSL VPN appliance that delivers secure remote access to the broadest
range of enterprise applications via standard Web browsers. Its versatile
design incorporates three SSL access modes – thin, Web and tunnel –
that provide access to client/server, Web/intranet and "fat client"
applications. The Netilla V-Realms Client Identity Engine makes it easy
to create multiple realms for different classes of users, each with
distinct authentication and authorization policies.
Release 5.0, the latest edition of the NSP, also incorporates advanced
client integrity protection that includes Secure Desktop, cache cleaning
and host integrity. The NSP is available in three classes (G, E and
B) that can support up to 2,000 concurrent users.
