New Netilla Security Platform (NSP) Products, Pricing Plans
At last month's Interop 2005 show in Las Vegas, we took the wraps off two innovative products that bring our award-winning SSL VPN functionality to a broader range of customers: the A-Class Netilla® Security Platform (NSP) and the Netilla Secure Gateway Appliance (SGA) - Tunnel. The NSP A-Class features the same compact hardware platform as our SGA appliances, but supports up to 25 concurrent users with full Netilla functionality. Prices start at $5,250 for 10 user licenses.Even more affordable is the SGA-T, which delivers SSL VPN functionality at an IPSec price. SGA-T employs a lightweight, self-deploying client-side control that establishes a "network connect" tunnel that matches the security of an IPSec solution but without its more complex setup. Priced at just $2,495 for 25 concurrent users, SGA-T delivers secure access to a broad array of Windows applications. SGA-T joins our roster of previously announced SGA models, including SGA-C for securing access to Citrix environments, and SGA-M, our affordable, compact SSL VPN for securing Microsoft Outlook Web Access and Microsoft Windows Terminal Services access. Both products incorporate Release 5.2, the latest edition of the Netilla Security Platform O/S, which incorporates across-the-board improvements in application access, security and management. Release 5.2 is generally available this month. Finally, AEP's new Enterprise Bundle pricing plans enable us to offer our most popular NSP features at special package discounts. Contact AEP Networks or your certified Netilla reseller for full details on our pricing bundles.AEP SmartGate
As a result of our V-ONE acquisition, AEP Networks is pleased to add to our solution portfolio AEP SmartGate®, a software-based application-layer gateway designed for large-scale, distributed, information-sharing environments. SmartGate enables organizations to securely share critical information with employees, customers and business partners via any IP based infrastructure. Already widely deployed across U.S. government agencies including the Department of Justice, SmartGate authenticates users, encrypts the data and provides flexible access controls for secure communication between a user and their information. SmartGate supports a broad range of client devices (including Macintosh and handheld devices). Because it is typically deployed in large networks, SmartGate will be marketed primarily through systems integrators and value-added solution providers.

| SSL VPN Achieves FIPS, ICSA and VPNC Certifications |
 |
The AEP Netilla Security Platform (NSP) was awarded three influential third-party security certifications this spring, achieving validation from ICSA Labs and the Virtual Private Network Consortium (VPNC), and becoming FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standards) certified.Named 'Best VPN Solution' by the SC Magazine Global Awards 2005, the NSP met the demanding new requirements for the latest round of ICSA Labs' SSL-TLS VPN testing programs. The NSP also received certification from the VPNC, an international trade association for VPN manufacturers.Additionally, NSP has achieved compliance with FIPS 140, Level 3 data security standards. FIPS is a key U.S. governmental data security standard established by the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and FIPS compliance is a prerequisite for many governmental deployments. FIPS compliance has been achieved via an optional FIPS card designed and manufactured by AEP Networks for the NSP G-Class.

AEP Acquires
V-ONE, Gains U.S. Government Customers |
|
AEP Networks has purchased V-ONE, an Internet security pioneer and one of the earliest commercial vendors of application-layer VPN technology. The acquisition creates new opportunities for AEP Networks in U.S. government agencies including the Departments of Defense, Homeland Security, Justice and Treasury, where V-ONE products are already widely deployed to secure complex, distributed information-sharing networks. We welcome V-ONE's customers, its channel partners, and its employees to AEP Networks. V-ONE's customers will now have the opportunity to enjoy a benefit from this corporate change through the introduction of a much broader range of infrastructure security products -- as well as AEP Networks' expertise in designing complete security solutions for government-sector customers and other large-scale organizations.
We are pleased to have Margaret Grayson, one of the nation's top cybersecurity experts, at the helm of AEP's new Government Solutions Group, based just outside Washington D.C. in Rockville, Md. Grayson previously served as V-ONE's president and CEO. She is a member of the National Infrastructure Advisory Committee (NIAC), a White House advisory panel that provides guidance regarding cybersecurity requirements of the U.S. critical infrastructures including its banking, information and telecommunications systems.
