AEP Secure Application Access Emergency Licensing

With our Series A Secure Application Access emergency licenses, sudden increases in the number of users remotely accessing the company network are quickly and easily accommodated. Emergency licenses are temporary user licenses readily available to instantly activate when remote access demand increases suddenly.

How does it work?

The emergency licensing packs may be used intermittently for a total of 60 days within a 12-month period from the time the license is issued by AEP. Emergency license usage is measured in daily granularity. For example, 25 hours is equal to two days of use. Two license keys (the regular license key and the emergency license key) are provided.

When activated, the number of emergency licenses is added to the number of Premium licenses purchased. For instance, if you have 250 Premium user licenses and then you activate a 100 user emergency licenses pack, you now can accommodate 350 users.

Customers will be issued a new 60 day emergency license key for each year they have the service. There is no carryover of days from one year to the next.

Is a Maintenance Contract Required?

Yes, to purchase emergency licenses, customers must purchase support for the first year. And, the emergency license service will be provided for the number of years for which the customer purchased maintenance up front. For example, if customers buy emergency licenses with a 3 year maintenance agreement, then they will get a new 60 day allotment of emergency licenses for each of the 3 years. Maintenance is required on the product for each of these years.
